In order to successfully pursue historic tax credits for the renovation project, the applicant also had to update the original National Register Nomination (1979): the nomination excluded the 1951 Lloyd Hall and included the Guild House, which was demolished in 2007.

Project Goals
The applicant sought tax credits for a large capital improvement project that focused on making critical repairs and upgrades to the church complex as a whole.
Project Design
Great care was taken to retain and restore the historic sanctuary, as the primary public space within the building, by restoring the stained glass windows and the organ.
The restoration of the historic sanctuary allowed for more flexibility for the insertion of new systems in secondary spaces, such as the basement.
Challenges & Accomplishments
The project also featured the construction of a new connector addition between the 1918 parish house and the 1951 Lloyd Hall; the connector was designed to house an elevator and ADA accessible bathrooms.
The addition allowed the church to maintain historic spaces in their original configuration while providing necessary access from building to building within the larger complex.
