Project Goals
Hargrave Military Academy leadership sought CPG’s expertise as they began to plan for large-scale renovations and upgrades to campus facilities.
Project Design
CPG used a campus historic district approach to prepare the nomination.
Though a single campus on multiple parcels, the campus district approach allowed CPG to identify resources separately with contributing and non-contributing status, making future tax credit applications easier to manage.
Challenges & Accomplishments
Archival material on the history of the campus was limited.
CPG utilized published campus histories by academy staff, field investigation, and expertise in architectural history to prepare a successful nomination.
